Deactivate a Member

Deactivate a Member

Sometimes, you may need to remove a member from your Mediagraph account. We offer a self-service option to deactivate a member, available to Admins in the Manage panel. This is effectively identical to deleting a member, as it hides them from the members list and prevents the account from being used.

We discourage deletion because all data about the deleted member would be destroyed in the process. Afterwards, any action tied to that member would be untethered from the person who did it. Deactivation keeps a record of the actions made by that member during their tenure. These can include uploads, downloads, taggings, and other changes to metadata. In cases where you need to permanently delete a member, contact us.

  1. In the Manage panel, select Members from the left-hand side panel.
  2. Find the member you want to deactivate. In the dropdown menu in the Status column, change Active to Deactivated.
  3. You can show deactivated members by clicking the filter icon in Status header and selecting Deactivated.
