Submitted and unsubmitted assets

Submitted and unsubmitted assets

Mediagraph requires that some uploads are submitted. The submission process allows Admins and Content Managers to ensure that assets uploaded to a Lightbox or Group Submission meet certain requirements before they are added to the Mediagraph account.

You may find that there are unsubmitted assets in your Mediagraph account. There is no risk associated with the unsubmitted status, except that the unsubmitted assets may need additional tagging. If an asset has not been submitted, it means that either:

The tagging requirements for the upload have not been met.

or

The uploading user did not click the Submit button.

We recommend requiring that all uploads are tagged with both a Creator and a Rights package. These requirements are important to ensure that the authorized use of an asset can be determined. You can also require that the uploader picks from a Tag Suggester. Upload requirements can be managed in Contribution Request Settings, found in Manage > Uploads, or in an individual Lightbox or Submission Group's settings.

Follow the steps below to find and update unsubmitted assets.

Find and submit unsubmitted assets

  1. Click View All.
  2. In the Filters panel, open the Unsubmitted Assets tab. This may be found in the Admin Filter Group.
  3. Select the Unsubmitted filter.
  4. Only unsubmitted assets will be displayed. Click thumbnails to select the individual assets you want to submit, or click the asset counter in the top right corner to select all.

  6. If you want to add a Creator or other tag before submitting, click Edit Metadata.... If you want to add a Rights package, click Edit Rights.... If you just want to submit the selected asset(s), skip to step 7.
