Notifications

Notifications

A user can receive notifications about assets and collections they are subscribed to. Notifications can be delivered via email and/or to the notification center, depending on the settings.

Notifications arrive 5-10 minutes after the event. The system tracks similar events (asset deletion, adding assets to a collection, etc.) and groups them into a single message.

For example, if one user deleted 4 assets, a single message will appear in the notification center and in the email: «User first_name last_name deleted 4 assets.»

If 5 different users deleted assets, 5 different notifications will be sent, one for each user’s actions.

If a user performed the same actions with different collections, separate notifications will be sent, grouped by collection. For example, if one user added 3 assets to one collection and 4 assets to another, two separate notifications will be sent.

By clicking on a notification in the Notification Center, you can navigate to the asset with which the event occurred (original replacement, addition to a collection, removal from a collection).

Clicking on a notification about asset deletion will show its thumbnail and UUID. Using the UUID, an administrator can find and restore the asset from the admin panel if necessary.
