Getting Started with Quick Upload

Getting Started with Quick Upload

In today’s connected world, crowdsourcing media is more important than ever. Quick Upload streamlines the process of gathering media from your community, enabling efficient crowdsourcing directly into your organization’s account.

A lightweight, mobile-friendly interface, Quick Upload is designed for users of all skill levels. Perfect for crowdsourcing assets from events or geographically dispersed contributors, it greatly simplifies media submission while maintaining Mediagraph’s robust rights management and organizational features.

Key Features

  • Easy Interface: Simple, lightweight design with your branding, and no login required for contributors.
  • Instant Uploads: Select files in just a few clicks or taps, no extra steps necessary
  • Simple Rights Management: Required creator tags or a rights agreement of your choice to ensure proper attribution and usage. Ensure you’re only receiving content you can actually use.
  • Easy Tagging: Enable tag suggesters for standardized keywording according to your organization’s context.
  • Automatic Organization: Files are organized according to the uploader, simplifying management.
  • QR Code Access: Each Quick Upload link includes a QR code for seamless mobile access.

At the bottom of the page, take a look at two more videos we’ve created, showing sample workflows for social media submissions and event contributions from the public.

Configure your Quick Upload pipeline

There are a number of ways to customize your Quick Upload pipeline. Read below to find out more about the settings in the Uploads Manage panel.

Contribution Request Settings

  • Write A Request: This is where you set the intro copy, displayed at the top of the Quick Upload portal. Let your contributors know what you'd like them to upload. The copy you include here can be formatted using Markdown syntax. If you are unfamiliar with Markdown, take a look at the simple guide here.

Tagging

  • Add these tags to all Group uploads: Automatically keyword all files with tags that let you know they are submissions from the Public.
  • Require Creator Tag: Require that all uploads are tagged with Creator information. Contributors will be prompted to declare whether they have created what they are uploading. If they are not the creator, they must provide proper attribution.
  • Enable Tag Suggesters: Tag Suggesters let you give a limited, controlled tagging ability to your contributors. Learn more about Tag Suggesters here.

Rights and Releases

  • Select which Rights Packages you want to allow for these uploads. The Rights Agreement, as set in the Rights Package Manage panel will be displayed, and agreement is required before the upload even begins.

Notifications

  • Configure email notifications for this upload portal. Anytime a new asset is submitted, an email will be sent.
