Create a Lightbox Share Link

Share links allow you to share files with other people, without requiring them to create an identity or log in. This removes a lot of friction from the sharing process, but it also means you don’t know who has accessed the files. Share links can only be made for Lightboxes. 

Non-Members with a share link can:

  • View all assets in the Lightbox.
  • Download files based on share link permissions.

As the Lightbox owner, you get to decide what permissions are applied to the share link. You can watermark images, pick the file resolution, enable/disable downloads and set an expiration date for the link to expire.

Tip: A Lightbox can have multiple share links. This allows you to share a Lightbox with different audiences. For example, you may want one group to be able to download files without watermarks, but another group to have watermarks on images.

Create a Share Link for a Lightbox

  1. Mouse over theInfo_Popup.png Info pop-over next to the Lightbox you would like to share.
  2. Click Manage_Button.pngto enter Lightbox management.
  3. Click the tab Share Links.
  4. Click + Create New Share Link.
  5. Select desired permissions: watermark, file size, download permissions and expiration date.
  6. Click the Copy_GUID.pngto copy the share link to the clipboard. This is the link you will send out to give non-members access to your Lightbox.
  7. Click Update.
